5. What drew you to SCS? 

Answer:  Given the current environment, I was keen to bring my experience and support to ensure Scottish ClubSport could continue to be a clear advocate for its members and make sure that both clubs, partners and facilities are work innovatively to help retain and increase club memberships and participation 

6. What do you bring to SCS?

Answer:  Having worked in a number of sports development roles over the last 15 years, I bring experience and knowledge of the sporting sector, coupled with over 20 years of experience of volunteering within sports clubs – so hopefully a balanced view of the challenges and opportunities facing club sport.  I enjoy working as part of a progressive team, and look forward working with a like minded group of people across the SCS network! 

7. How would you describe SCS in three words?

Answer: Supportive, collaborative, unique 

8. Favourite sport to participate in? 

Answer: Hockey 

9. Favourite sport to watch?

Answer: Football or Athletics 

10. Favourite piece of advice given to you? 

Answer: My memory is awful, but some of the leaders I have really respected (in both a professional and voluntary capacity) have been prepared to innovate and take calculated risks in order to try and achieve goals.  I think the main thing I have learned from this is that you need to take people with you in the process.  The more people who are willing to support your ideas, the more likely they are to be both successful and sustainable!
